Financial Data Analyst - Fixed Income (Bonds)
Our client, a global organisation and leader in the finance and technology sector, is seeking 2 highly motivated individuals with a keen interest in financial markets, along with a passion for providing exceptional client service, to join their Sovereign Debt team for an exciting project. This is a 6-month temporary contract with an immediate start date. This is a remote role with initial onsite training in the City of London.
This position involves supporting the maintenance of debt records, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of coverage for the largest and most liquid fixed income asset class. The candidate will be responsible for manual set-ups and updates for non-automated markets.
Successful candidates will receive world-class training, get to work in a complex and exciting environment and will have the opportunity to apply for permanent roles within the business. Applicants should possess basic knowledge of bonds, strong communication skills, and a meticulous attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support manual set-ups and updates for non-automated markets to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
* Participate in the backfills project as part of the Completeness work in the context of SoD.
* Assist in managing the queue backlog by completing and rejecting items and performing checks on lower-priority automated markets.
* Update economic headlines on client internal platform and handling sensitive data that cannot be outsourced.
* Provide support for Autodesk coverage during staff shortages.
* Work closely with clients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring their needs are met.
Key Requirements:
* Bachelor or/and Master’s degree in Finance/Economics or equivalent work experience.
* A basic understanding of Fixed Income & Bonds and understanding of how they work from inception to maturity.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly for client management.
* Strong attention to detail and high degree of proven decision-making and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and in a frequently changing environment.
* Keen interest in financial markets is essential.
* Genuine commitment to this role and desire to progress.
