OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT
UP TO £70,000
LONDON – HYBRID
As a Consultant in Regulatory Operations, you will join the OTC Derivatives team within Capital Markets and Wealth Management Operations. Your role will focus on overseeing operational controls related to Capital Markets Regulatory Trade Reporting. You will engage in control executions and project activities, emphasizing the definition of new controls to ensure compliance with various regulatory jurisdictions. Using advanced analytical skills, you will analyse data from multiple sources to identify potential gaps in reporting and select appropriate BI tools to meet user needs.
Key Accountabilities
* Transaction & Trade Reporting Experience: Experience in Regulatory Trade and Transaction Reporting, covering UK/EU regulations such as SFTR, MIFID II, EMIR.
* Data Analysis: Ability to analyze transaction reporting data from trade repositories and respond to stakeholder requests.
* Back Reporting: Perform back reporting of impacted trade and transaction reporting activities post-resolution.
* Reporting Generation: Comfortable with reporting generation and submission for non-STP trades, transactions, and position reporting per internal deadlines across EMEA jurisdictions.
* Debt, Equity, and OTC Derivative Products Knowledge: Working knowledge of debt, equity, and derivatives transactions, including swaps, forwards, options, and basic finance principles.
* Analytical Skills: 2+ years of experience in analytics using advanced tools, with a deep understanding of database structures (relational, hierarchical, distributed) and platforms.
* Data Tools Proficiency: Skilled in working with data tools, investigating large data sets, and collaborating across time zones.
* Project Management: Capable of multitasking and managing multiple priorities with a project-oriented mindset.
* Subject Matter Expert: Awareness of Regulatory Reporting obligations and ability to explain regulations, policies, and guidelines.
What you need
* 2 to 3 years of experience in Regulatory Trade and Transaction Reporting, covering UK/EU regulations such as SFTR, MIFID II, EMIR.
* Experience using Kaizen.
* Experience analysing large data sets using pivot tables.
