Job Description:
Profile Criteria:
* Fully-Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) candidate with accounting experience from industry
* Preferably Banking or Financial Services sector experience
* Statutory/financial accounting experience
* IFRS
* Good communication and presentation skills
* Either immediately available or available on a short notice period (1-month or less)
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure accurate accounting treatments of applicable International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
* Provide accounting technical support
* Provide ad-hoc support and to generally assist the department
* Preparation of disclosure notes for financial statements
* Liaise with external auditors
* Assist in the delivery of Head Office reporting
* Build effective working relationships with the wider Bank, as well as within the team
Essential/Desirable Skills:
* Degree educated in Finance or Accounting
* Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA)
* Experience in the Financial Services industry
* Experience in Banking is preferable but not necessary
* Technical expertise in accounting operations under IFRS
* Demonstrable business transformation and process improvement skills
* Knowledge and experience of financial products and services
* Team player who is able to work independently
* Excellent Excel Skills
* Excellent communication skills
