Title: Join a Leading Nuclear Engineering Firm as Principal Mechanical Design Engineer
Introduction:
Our client, a leading nuclear engineering firm located in Warrington, is seeking an experienced and innovative Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. As the successful candidate for this permanent position, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that push boundaries within mechanical handling machinery design.
Qualifications Required for Principal Mechanical Design Enginee:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
- Chartered status with IMechE (Institution of Mechanical Engineers) preferred but not essential
Skills Required for Principal Mechanical Design Enginee:
As our ideal candidate for this role, you should possess significant experience designing complex mechanical systems using 3D CAD software and Finite Element Analysis techniques. Additionally, strong knowledge of fabrication processes such as welding and machining are required.
Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibilities would include project management from concept through production; liaising closely with other departments including procurement & manufacturing teams; providing technical leadership across all aspects related specifically towards your fields expertise(s); ensuring compliance according safety regulations set by regulatory bodies at both national level - NDA(Nuclear Decommissioning Authority), ONR(Office For Nuclear Regulation)-and international ones like IAEA(International Atomic Energy Agency).
