Zest Education are looking for a hardworking Primary School Teacher to join a welcoming school based in Edgbaston, Birmingham. You will be teaching Year 1 students on a part-time basis (3 days a week), and you will be required to plan and prepare engaging lessons and learning activities. This role is due to start in October 2024 and is ongoing, giving you the chance to build a long-lasting relationship with a school as well as giving you a perfect work/life balance.

Roles and responsibilities:
* Plan appropriate work and organise the student education in line with the Key Stage 1 (KS1) curriculum.
* Assess, record, and monitor the progress of each student and report relevant information on their progress and attainment to parents/guardians and senior leaders.
* Teach creative lessons, prepare teaching materials, and set up the classroom.
* To ensure the maintenance of good order and promote positive conduct among all students, in line with the school’s behaviour policy.
* Contribute towards the goals and targets in the school’s strategic plan.
* Create effective working relationships with colleagues and build positive relationships with the students.
* Establish and oversee a supporting and encouraging learning environment.
Requirements:
* You must hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Experience working within an education-based setting or teaching KS1.
* Have a strong knowledge of the national curriculum.
* An enhanced DBS or the willingness to obtain one.
* Have a genuine passion to help children achieve academic success.
* Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
