Are you an experienced and compassionate Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? Our beautiful, Ofsted-rated ’Good’ school in Hampton in Arden is seeking a dedicated TA to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with a SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) diagnosis. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant difference in a child’s educational journey and overall well-being.
About the Role:
In this role, you will provide full-time, personalised support to a pupil with SEMH needs. Your expertise and dedication will ensure the child can fully participate in all areas of the school day, promoting their academic, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 support throughout the school day, adapting activities and strategies to meet the pupil’s developmental stage and specific SEMH needs.
- Adapted Planning: Collaborate with teachers to modify lesson plans and resources to ensure they are accessible and engaging for the pupil.
- Emotional and Social Guidance: Offer consistent emotional and social support, helping the pupil develop coping strategies and positive relationships with peers and staff.
- Providing feedback to teachers and parents to ensure the child’s needs are being met effectively.
- Apply a range of SEMH interventions and strategies to support the pupil’s learning and well-being, drawing on your understanding of the EYFS framework and Phonics.
