We are seeking a skilled Contract Hardware Development Engineer to join our team. Collaborate with software, firmware, electronics, and mechanical engineers to develop advanced medical devices and test rigs.
Key Responsibilities * Create technical documentation for hardware
* Design complex circuits from specifications
* Perform ad hoc tasks as directed
* Solder and change minor components
* Conduct PCB rework, cuts, and straps
* Set up and test PCBs
* Use basic bench equipment
* Discuss designs with team members
* Work independently
* Design schematics and make layout changes in Altium
* Recommend and implement PCB design changes
* Collaborate with software and layout engineers
* Mentor junior staff
* Manage and update library control
* Design for test and manufacture
Qualifications * Extensive experience in electronics hardware development
* Strong understanding of end-to-end hardware and integration
* Knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques for volume production
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
* Strong organizational skills
* Self-motivated and proactive
Desirable Experience * Fluid/air handling, motion control systems, optical sensors, thermal control systems
* Medical device development to ISO 13485, high reliability, safety-critical, and automotive environments
* Reviewing designs and planning for cost reductions
* Working with interdisciplinary, international teams
* FMEA and similar processes
* EMC and safety testing
