We are looking for an HGV HIAB driver to join our group of drivers on a temporary ongoing basis. The ideal candidate would be expected to operate out of multiple branches and locations if necessary.
MAIN DUTIES
* To undertake the safe, secure and efficient movement of materials and equipment required for the business.
* Performing deliveries and collections to and from the customer sites, and other locations as required.
* Representing the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times to customers, the general public and other road users.
* Check equipment is loaded/unloaded in a safe manner.
* Ensure that the total load does not exceed vehicle weight limits.
* Use approved methods to secure the load of the vehicle.
* Check paperwork to ensure delivery/collection loads are correct.
* Ensure that all equipment on the vehicle is accounted for.
* Visually inspect equipment being loaded and unloaded.
* Follow all Health and Safety practices.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
* HIAB Licence is essential or this role.
* Holds a full driving licence valid in the UK, with no more than 6 points on Licence.
* Holds a HGV Driving Licence.
* Holds a valid CPC Licence.
* Holds a valid Digi Taco Card.
* Good personal presentation.
* Able to carry out manual handling tasks.
* Carry out all other reasonable tasks for the needs of the business.
Working hours
* Monday to Friday.
* Day or night shifts available.
* Occasional Saturday may be required.
