Reputable telecommunications client looking for a Network Capacity Planner with Advanced Excel skills and hands-on Visio, IP Planning, Ethernet and Switching/Routing experience.
They do expect to travel to their office 2 days a month. Please ensure you can commit to this before applying.

Your new role

Planning of the Edge Data network, including Converged Interconnect Network (CIN), ensuring capacity is made available to support the needs of the business.

Maintaining accurate records of network topology and network inventory.Providing parameters/allocations for network configuration in a format that can be used for automation engines.

What you’ll need to succeed

A thorough understanding of the technologies relevant to today’s data & optical networks, specifically, but not limited, to Ciena & Nokia platforms.

Technologies will include (but not limited to): IP, Ethernet, DWDM, VLAN’s, Link aggregation groups and ERPS.
Experience of delivering quality work to agreed timescales. Attention to detail is essential.Technical understanding of IP & Optical Networks and how they interwork.

Proficient with MS Office applications, in particular Excel & Visio. Also the ’draw.io’ package.An understanding of xml data would be desired.
