Search Recruitment are partnering with an established and growing business to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant on a 12 month fixed term basis in Stirling, with hybrid working. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will assist in the financial month & year-end processes and the development of new systems. Your key responsibilities will include:

* Supporting month-end processes and reporting and adherence to deadlines.
* Assisting with year-end procedures and tasks as required.
* Assisting with the review of balance sheet items.
* Analysing individual project revenue and cost performance.
* Updating statutory returns as required.
* Assisting with monthly VAT returns.
* Working across all finance department functions to meet deadlines.
* Documenting financial procedures and practices.
* Contributing to process improvement.
* Supporting Accounts Assistants and providing guidance when needed.
* Ad hoc support as required.

Skills and experience you’ll ideally have:

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.
* Highly focused and organised.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of business.
* Ability to work to deadlines and cope under pressure.
* A team player.
* Demonstrably able to take initiative.
