Job Title: Assistant Accountant
Location: Basingstoke - hybrid working - 3 days in the office 
Employment Type: Permanent
Salary: £35,000 Plus Bonus And fantastic benefits!
We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Accountant to join our fantastic client in Basingstoke. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the finance department with various tasks and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
* Posting journals and reconciling balance sheet accounts
* Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns
* Reconciling bank statements and investigating any discrepancies
* Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets
* Assisting with the year-end audit process
* Providing support to the finance team on an ad-hoc basis
Skills and Experience:
* Part Qualified ACCA / ACA / CIMA
* Experience working in a similar role
* Strong attention to detail
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
