Job Description:
We are seeking a versatile and dedicated Construction Project Manager to oversee and drive the successful delivery of our commercial and industrial projects.
This role requires a strategic thinker with a robust understanding of construction management and excellent stakeholder management skills. The successful candidate will ensure project goals are met, adhere to approved budgets, and deadlines are achieved, enhancing our reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the planning and implementation of project tasks and resource allocation.
* Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards.
* Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.
* Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
* Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
* Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
* Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
* Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
* Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
Skills and Proficiencies
* Proven project management skills with a focus on commercial and industrial construction projects.
* Proficiency in MS Project and other relevant construction management software.
* Strong familiarity with construction methodologies and regulations in the UK.
* Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
* Strong interpersonal skills and capable of managing relationships with internal teams and key stakeholders.
* A valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
* Certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent are desirable and not essential.
Travel Requirements
* This role requires some travel to various project sites within the designated region. The candidate must be prepared for site visits and hands-on project oversight as needed.
