Credit Controller - Permanent - Reading, Berkshire - Up to £26,000 - Hybrid

FryerMiles are delighted to be partnering with one of the UK’s leading independent businesses based in Reading to assist with their recruitment of a Credit Controller on a permanent basis. 
Key responsibilities
* Working to specific debt reduction targets.
* Responsibility for invoice submission checks and processes.
* Resolving any queries regarding pricing or contractual issues for example: Customer contracts, Customer Services team, Commercial contracting team.
* Assisting the cash allocation team when payment/remittance details are needed.
* Supporting and advising the Customer Service team when queries arise.
* Producing accurate write off schedules monthly.
* Communicating with customers at all levels in order to identify reason for non-payment and to maintain effective working relationships.
* Assisting with billing issues to ensure timely correction of errors and submission of invoices.
Desired skills
* Credit control experience is desirable, but not essential.
* Administrative experience.
* Experience of a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment where quality standards are important and volume high.
* SAP experience desirable.
* GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
* Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
* Ability to solve problems independently and use own initiative.
* Experience of an IT-led customer contact system.
* Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with sites and other support functions, drawing upon their expertise as required.
* Intermediate to advanced understanding and knowledge Excel - specifically the ability to manipulate large volumes of data.
* Courteous, friendly and committed to providing excellent customer service.
