We are working with a FMCG Manufacturer who are looking for a QA Technician to join their team based in South Manchester.
Responsibilities
* Maintaining and calibrating measuring equipment to various testing standards.
* Working with and under supervisor of the QA Supervisor and alerting the QA Supervisor of ongoing problems.
* Inspecting raw materials to ensure consistence and integrity.
* Complete raw material, packaging and factory specifications.
* Root cause analysis.
* To ensure the filling out and maintaining of any paperwork required.
* Complying with any and all standards, internal policies and legal regulations that apply to the finished product.
* To ensure good hygiene and housekeeping standards are employed at all times.
* To perform accurate analysis of the product, process and packaging to determine its suitability for purpose.
* To work with all team members to use their skills and knowledge to identify problems and implement opportunities.
* Being aware of the individual product requirements and demonstrate the ability to identify problems.
* Communication between QA Supervisor, QA Manager and Production teams
Qualifications, Experience and skills
* Strong analytical and mathematics skills
* Willingness to work in noisy environments
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
* Excellent attention to detail
* Good communication skills
* Experience in a similar role
* Knowledge of QA systems
* Food Safety & HACCP

Schedule
* 12 hour shifts, Days and Nights
* Average of 42 hours per week, 4 on 4 off, 12 hour shifts of 2x 07am-19pm & 2x 19pm-07am followed by 4 off.
