Cyber Security Analyst - Remote
We have an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security Analyst to join our team! This is a full-time permanent role working remotely with some occasional travel required.

The Role & Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for protecting Marston Holdings information systems and networks from cyber threats. This involves identifying security risks, implementing protective measures, and responding to security incidents. The analyst ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of digital assets, while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations.
* Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and potential threats.
* Implement and/or manage security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.
* Analyse security breaches to determine their root cause and develop strategies to prevent future incidents.
* Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
* Provide recommendations to enhance security posture based on current threats and vulnerabilities.
* Stay up to date with the latest security trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure seamless integration of security measures
* Support the development and implementation of security initiatives and projects
Person Specification
* Hold professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CCSP or CompTIA Security+
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cyber security or a related field.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
* In-depth understanding of cyber security principles and practices.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Defender, Purview and Entra
* Proficiency in security technologies, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
* Strong knowledge of networking protocols and architectures.
* Ability to analyse and interpret security logs and data.
* Familiar with operating systems, including Windows, Android, iOS and macOS.
* Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure, M365
* Demonstrated ability to create comprehensive and concise security reports tailored for executive leadership.
