Finance Manager – Doncaster – £35,000 - £37,500 & Benefits

We are currently partnering a successful, fast growing SME business based on the outskirts of Doncaster, who are currently looking for a proactive Interim Finance Manager for a minimum 15-18 month contract.
Reporting to the Finance Director the role will see the successful candidate managing the day-to-day operations of the accounts department, working alongside other departments and stakeholders. You will have a continuous improvement mentality and look to make improvements in processes, procedures and systems.   The ideal candidate will be a tenacious and highly self-motivated individual, with a natural flair for people management. The role is extremely fast-paced and varied so you must be confident in working well under pressure and focused on achieving company objectives.

Finance Manager Responsibilities:

* Managing the day-to-day operations of the accounts department, working alongside other departments and stakeholders
* Looking to make improvements/efficiencies to procedures and controls, as well as ad-hoc projects and requests; working alongside IT to test any projects/improvements
* Conducting interviews and leading team recruitment
* Working alongside the Purchase Ledger Supervisor & Credit Manager to review creditors, debtors and active disputes
* Pulling KPI’s/Target figures and reviewing with team members in quarterly 1-2-1’s
* Managing/processing overheads/DD/unallocated cash
* Signing high value credits and reviewing the errors in regard to credits
* Pulling payment reports to review cashflow with the Finance Director
* Authorising and processing weekly payment runs
* Assist with month end management account preparation
* Balance sheet reconciliations
* Mentor the Management Accountant to take on more month end responsibility
Required Skills & Experience:
* Must have proven background in supervising and leading a team
* Strong background in a similar Finance Manager role
* AAT qualified or QBE
* Strong ability to mentor, coach and motivate a team
* Confident in making improvements and suggestions to processes and procedures
* Have strong Excel and systems skills
* Attention to detail and strong problem solving skills
* Ability to thrive in a busy, energetic and fast paced environment
* Good interpersonal skills including ability to communication at all levels
