Finance Director
Permanent
Leek, Staffordshire
£75,000  
Monday – Friday 9am -5pm  
Our reputable leading manufacturer within the FMCG industry are currently looking for an experienced Finance Director who will work alongside the CEO and Senior Leadership Teams.  The successful candidate will play an essential role as they work with colleagues to oversee all finance related activities for the Group.
Main Responsibilities of the Finance Director      
* Work collaboratively with the CEO of the company in order to provide them with the advice, support, and financial guidance that ensures stable financial policies, procedures, and systems.
* Take full accountability for the delivery of timely, effective, and accurate data and ensure that procedures and activities are completed in ways that positively influences profit margins.
* Develop, implement, and maintain the policies and procedures needed positively manage, accurately report and take full accountability of the cashflow for both companies within the group.  
* Demonstrate high levels of financial knowledge  to maintain the integrity of liabilities. E.g. legal contracts, statutory and tax obligations, hidden liabilities, and the expectations from loan covenants and/or the Board of Directors. 
* Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues in the SLTs across the group, establishing excellent working relationships with external colleagues (e.g. investment bankers, shareholders, finance analysts).
* Working with the CEO develop the policies, procedures, and as needed tools that deliver timely, effective, and accurate communication to shareholders and members of the SLTs, and when required develop and present presentations etc that ensure the understanding of individuals.
* Co-ordinate and monitor the long-term financial plans for the group, identify and assess the financial activities implicit to achieving these plans, and as needed discuss, develop, and agree alternative ways in which to achieve the outcome/s required.
* Take overall responsibility for, and work with the Head of HR to develop and implement the required policy and procedures needed to discuss and assign financial “levels of authority”.
* Take overall responsibility and accountability for all financial aspects of bids, contracts, and assets.
* Carry out any other reasonable task requested by the CEO or Board of Directors.
Experience and Skills required
* A minimum 5 years of experience working in the same or a similar role, and 10 years’ experience of working in a finance role (preferably in manufacturing).
* To possess a BA/MA in finance, accounting, or economics.
* To possess an excellent working knowledge Transfer Pricing and negotiating loan agreements is an advantage.
* To possess the proven skills to lead, develop, and manage teams of likeminded professionals.
* Be a strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to provide information to colleagues etc. clearly, concisely, and when possible, without the use of jargon.
* To be adept in the use of Microsoft Office 365 and a proven experienced user of Teams for delivering meeting, presentations, and other face-to-face interactions.
* To possess the proven experience of leading a finance function and providing advice, support, and guidance to the CEO, Board, and Senior Management Teams.
* To possess a proven experience of negotiating and procuring debt and equity capital.
* To possess the proven experience of communicating with and managing a team a finance professionals and 3rd party providers.
* Proven experience of developing a team of finance professionals in ways that facilitates success.
