Accounts Payable Assistant

Aila is excited to be partnered with a renowned FMCG business based in St Albans in the search for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis. This leading multi-entity FMCG business are continuing to grow their Global footprint and brand with their diverse portfolio.

We are recruiting for an experienced Accounts Payable professional to join this exciting Finance team to support on the end-to-end function including processing invoices, expenses as well as supporting the external audit process.

Reporting into the Transactional Finance Lead, you will be joining a strong and established finance function where you can immediately add value but also receive support from this collaborative team. You will ideally have 2+ years’ of experience in an Accounts Payable function and now be keen on a new challenge within a Global brand.

Our client is a huge player in their field, with £750 million + revenue and footprint across Europe where you will have dealings and gain international exposure if you haven’t already in a previous role.

Key responsibilities include:
* Processing of the incoming invoices from the UK entities
* Maintaining the general ledger so it is accurate for reporting
* Weekly payment runs
* Processing credit notes where required
* Ensuring all invoices are approved by associated budget holders
* Support with the external audit process
* Assist with adhoc AP related projects

You will ideally be an Accounts Payable professional with 2 years’ experience within a similar end-to-end Accounts Payable role and come from an medium to large scale business. You will be proactive in your approach and possess a real keen eye for detail as well as a clear communication style and passion to provide a good quality service to your internal stakeholders.
