Commercial Assistant

ARM are currently supporting one of our clients in Glasgow with the recruitment of a Commercial Assistant on a permanent basis.

The Commercial Assistant will provide vital support to the Commercial Department across various project lifecycles, ensuring efficient and accurate commercial operation.

Requirements:

* Assist with the preparation of bids and tenders, including gathering and compiling project information, cost estimates, and contract documents.
* Maintain and update commercial databases, including contracts, quotations, and sub-contractor information.
* Process invoices, manage purchase orders, and ensure timely payments to vendors and subcontractors.
* Track project budgets and expenditures, identifying and reporting any potential cost variances.
* Prepare and distribute commercial reports and presentations as required.
* Assist with the management of commercial risks and insurance requirements.
* Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Commercial Manager.

Requirements:

* Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a commercial role within the construction industry.
* Strong understanding of commercial construction principles, including contracts, pricing, and cost management.
* Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
* Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and subcontractors.
* Proactive and resourceful, with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
