Group VAT Accountant – Retford – Competitive Salary + Benefits

We are looking for a Group VAT Accountant to join one of our most prestigious clients on a permanent basis.  Group VAT Accountant key responsibilities:
* Preparation of the UK quarterly VAT returns for the UK VAT groups
* Extracting and verifying data from various systems and analysing transactions by applying the UK VAT rules
* Performing transactional reviews following internal SOPs and HMRC VAT compliance guidance
* Supporting the UK Tax team with international VAT compliance preparation and review
* Contribution to the ongoing process improvement and systems refinement

Required Skills & Experience:
* Qualified or latter stages Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CTA)
* Strong knowledge and understanding of UK VAT legislation
* Experience of working within a group setting
* Be a strong user of MS Excel – Alpha VAT is desirable but not essential
* Experience of dealing with and understanding international VAT is beneficial
