Job Description:
This role requires a Senior Project Accountant who has a background in the construction / industrial / manufacturing sector. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of long term project accounting and play a key part of the finance team of this multi million pound division.

Description
* Building strong, supportive relationships within the leadership team, providing monthly project controls, project reporting and variance analysis.
* Supporting the month end process, specifically owning all the month end deliverables for all the projects, particularly including the calculation of IFRS15 Revenue Recognition, ensuring it is all delivered on time and to the highest standard.
* Engaging in monthly reviews with the Operational teams of the business to provide details of performance of projects and questioning / challenging where necessary.
* Delivering all the monthly balance sheet reconciliations related to projects and reviewing regularly with all key stakeholders.
* Owning the financial forecasts/budgets for all the projects, from a monthly rolling forecast to the annual budget process, along with ad hoc forecasts too.
* Contributing to cash management reporting and weekly forecasting.
* Line management for two colleagues.
* Ad hoc work to support a growing, rapidly changing business.
Profile
A successful Senior Project Accountant should have:
* Qualified Accountant (preferably CIMA or ACCA), with up to 3 years’ PQE.
* Proficiency in project accounting and financial management systems.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders.
