What You’ll Be Doing:
* Lead supplier selection and development, ensuring suppliers meet quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
* Engage with suppliers to assess technical requirements and manage supplier accounts on the company ERP system.
* Monitor costs and budgets, communicate discrepancies, and ensure timely delivery of materials in line with production targets.
* Liaise with various departments to keep everyone informed about supply statuses and resolve any invoice queries.
* Identify new suppliers and methods to enhance the company’s purchasing and stock control processes.
* Contribute to cost reduction, product development, and process improvement projects.
What They’re Looking For:
* Experience in a manufacturing-based purchasing role with a good grasp of mechanical and electrical processes.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills.
* Competence in interpreting engineering CAD drawings and excellent computer skills.
* A flexible, adaptable approach and the ability to work effectively in a changing environment.
Optional but beneficial: CIPS certification or an engineering-related qualification.
