Job Description:
Partner Financial are working with a prominent global technology company in search of an Interim Group Financial Reporting Consultant. As a market leader, the Group is strategically poised for further expansion through acquisitions and significant investments in its product and service technologies.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Group Financial Controller and possess the expertise to advise Group accounting process improvements while also ensuring accurate, timely reporting for management throughout the financial year.
Key responsibilities:
* Overseeing the delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
* Responsible for the consolidation of the statutory accounts and posting of journals in line with deadlines.
* Developing a robust understanding of the financial aspects of the business to promote and implement control mechanisms.
* Running Excel add-in reports and system processes to retranslate for FX.
* Supporting the Group Financial Controller in running the balance sheet and cash-flow statement for the Board pack.
* Providing expert guidance on technical accounting matters, preparing accounting treatment papers as well as providing technical accounting advice across the group.
* Advise on financial reporting improvements for recent acquisition.
Ideal candidate:
* Big 4 ACA or Top 10, Chartered Accountant.
* Previous experience of working in a Group financial reporting position within a complex organisation.
* A natural ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
* Ability of preparing statutory accounts independently and implementing robust, practical, and sustainable internal controls where appropriate.
* An inquisitive mind-set where you continuously seek process improvement.
