Job Description:
Are you a graduate seeking a new role in the education sector? Are you considering a career in teaching? We are working with a secondary school situated in the Crystal Palace area of the London Borough of Croydon who are seeking to appoint a Graduate Teaching Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates with a passion for working with SEN students to gain experience within secondary school. This could be used as a stepping stone into teaching or the field of SEN.
You will join a large secondary school, rated Outstanding’ by Ofsted on consecutive occasions. They are a high performing school where both staff and students are encouraged to achieve their potential.
Areas of responsibility:
* Supporting students across KS3 and KS4 on a 1:1, whole class or small group basis, some have been identified as having additional needs.
* Leading small group sessions and interventions.
* Supporting with behaviour management.
* Establishing positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
