As a Fostering Social Worker, you will play a vital role in providing essential support to children and young people in foster care placements, ensuring their safety, well-being, and overall positive experience. Working closely with foster carers and multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to creating stable and nurturing environments for vulnerable children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and young people entering or already in foster care placements.
* Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of children and young people in foster care, in collaboration with foster carers, families, and relevant professionals.
* Provide ongoing support, guidance, and advocacy to children, young people, and foster carers throughout the duration of foster care placements.
* Monitor and evaluate the progress and well-being of children and young people in foster care, addressing any emerging needs or concerns promptly.
* Work collaboratively with external agencies, including schools, healthcare providers, and local authorities, to coordinate holistic support services for children and young people in foster care.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and case progress, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
Requirements:
* Qualified Social Worker with relevant degree or diploma in social work.
* Registered with the appropriate regulatory body (e.g., Social Work England).
* Two years post qualifications & Fostering experience
* Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to children in care.
