We are working exclusively with our client based in the heart of Newcastle City Centre, looking for an Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.

The role is suited to an Accountant with experience of working independently or in a smaller organisation, accountancy qualification is not essential as experience in a similar role will be the key factor.

Key Responsibilities: * Preparation of yearly accounts for various limited companies
* Prepare monthly financial statements and reports
* In-house and client VAT returns
* Monitor and analyse accounting data
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations
* Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis
Requirements: * Proven experience in a similar accountancy role
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills
* Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
