Job Description:
Youth Worker
*Location: Blackpool
*Job Type: Full-time or Part-time
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Worker to join our team and make a significant impact on the lives of young people. In this role, you will work closely with young individuals, providing the support, guidance, and mentorship they need to develop essential life skills and achieve their full potential.
Day to day of the role:
*Engage with young people to build trusting relationships and establish rapport.
*Plan, coordinate, and facilitate a range of recreational, educational, and social activities.
*Provide tailored individual and group support to address the unique needs and challenges of young individuals.
*Encourage positive behaviour, personal growth, and self-esteem among young people.
*Mentor young people, offering advice and guidance to support informed decision-making and goal setting.
*Work in partnership with parents, schools, and community organizations to offer holistic support.
*Ensure the safety and well-being of young people during all activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*A Bachelor’s degree in Youth Work, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
*Experience working with young people in a youth work, community development, or similar capacity.
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
*An understanding of the challenges faced by young people and the ability to offer effective support.
*The ability to connect with young individuals from various backgrounds.
*Excellent organizational and time management skills.
*Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for youth work.
*Knowledge of relevant youth support services and resources.
