The Opportunity

My client, with strong routes in the Northeast market, and now with a global reach, is  seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager with a strong IT technical background to lead and manage their Active Directory migration projects. This role is critical in ensuring seamless transitions and upgrades within their IT infrastructure.

You will be required to be in the office 4 days a week in the Newcastle Office. 

Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you will lead and manage Active Directory migration projects, developing detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets. You will coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors to ensure flawless project execution, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Your deep technical knowledge of IT infrastructure will be essential in overseeing and guiding Active Directory migrations, providing technical support to the project team, and troubleshooting and resolving any migration issues. You will act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, communicating project progress, challenges, and solutions effectively. This includes preparing and presenting project reports to management.

Additionally, you will identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies, monitoring and managing project risks and issues to ensure timely resolution. As a leader, you will motivate and guide project team members, assigning tasks and responsibilities while providing coaching and support as needed. Maintaining complete and up-to-date project documentation, you will adhere to company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

Experience

o    Proven experience as a Project Manager in IT infrastructure projects.
o    Extensive experience with Active Directory migrations.
o    Strong technical background in IT.
o    Proficient with project management tools.
o    Strong understanding of Active Directory.
o    Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
o    Strong leadership and team management abilities.
o    Exceptional communication skills.

Certifications:

•    PMP or similar certification is highly desirable.
•    Relevant IT certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, MCSE) are a plus.
