Choralis Consulting have instructions to recruit a senior Finance Manager

We are working with an SME specialist Housing Association who fulfil a valuable role in society; they have recently undergone a significant review of their structure and business and have now reached an exciting period of growth and expansion. This has led to an opening for a Senior Finance Manager who will lead a small team to oversee the delivery of the financial returns, performance statements and forecasts, rent charges and maintain strong financial controls. You will be ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified with a grounding in Practice/Audit and experience within the housing sector.

Core duties include:
*Oversee all day-to-day finance activities with direct line management over a small finance team
*Review monthly management accounts and prepare the draft Board paper for the Finance Director
*Lead the annual audit process, working closely with Auditors
*Review and finalise various periodic reports for landlords and present these to the Finance Director
*Work closely with the Head of Assets to control the maintenance budget
*Support the Management Accountant to maintain the 30-year Business Plan and review the annual Budget, reconciling parameters to the Housing Management system and management accounts
*Prepare the annual service charge reconciliations for all properties
*Review all supplier payment runs
*Manage utility supply contract renewals
*Ensure good cash flow and treasury management
*Support the Finance Director and other colleagues in the organisation with ad-hoc requests for financial analysis, modelling and regulatory reporting

The Requirement:
* Chartered accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in accountancy practice/external audit
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in social housing sector
* Experience of implementing and managing finance processes
* Experience of organisational mergers and system migrations
* Strong analytical skills
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
