Hays Senior Finance are recruiting on behalf of their established manufacturing client based in North - East Fife for a permanent Financial Controller to join their busy team. Salary is £50,000 - £60,000 depending on experience + 32 days annual leave & pension. This position is a full-time office-based role due to the level of business partnering involved.
Your new role
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be the number 1 finance lead on site and will be expected to lead on all key financial matters, managing the finance function & one accounts assistant. You will complete monthly management accounts and KPIs including variance analysis. & commentary. You will complete financial accounting and year-end statutory accounts. You will business partner with various directors & managers to complete the annual budgeting & forecasting process and provide monthly updates. You will manage the banking & foreign exchange and prepare the payroll for the external agency. You will oversee transactional accounting, complete VAT returns & the fixed asset register and assist with the development of financial processes & IT systems. You will also complete various non-financial tasks including dealing with some basic HR administration and dealing with insurance / utility renewals etc.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will ideally be a qualified accountant, however qualified by experience individuals with the right skills set will be considered. You will be comfortable working in a varied finance role in a hands-on capacity. You will be experienced in completing both management & financial accounting. Experience in manufacturing / engineering / production or similar industries would be advantageous. You will possess excellent communication skills, have an ability to work to tight deadlines and have strong IT skills including Excel.
