Sheridan Maine is delighted to partner with a forward-thinking and rapidly growing organisation in search of an enthusiastic Assistant Management Accountant. This remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in the UK while contributing to a dynamic finance team.

This role is ideal for a qualified accountant seeking their first opportunity to transition into an industry position.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Management Accountant include:
* Assist the Finance Manager during month-end close to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
* Handle journals related to Transfer Pricing, Loans, and Revenue.
* Prepare VAT returns for review with the Finance Manager, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
* Generate and compile various ad hoc reports to support decision-making processes.
* Complete balance sheet reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
* Identify and drive efficiencies within your area of responsibility.
* Work closely with the finance team to achieve departmental goals and ensure overall team success.

The successful Assistant Management Accountant will require:
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
* Experience with Sage Intacct would help but is not essential.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote working environment.
