Gleeson Recruitment Group are pleased to be working exclusively with a leading manufacturing business based in Telford on their search for a Group FP&A Analyst. We are currently seeking a skilled Group FP&A Analyst to join this dynamic team in a role which is crucial for overseeing all corporate projections and improving the accuracy and efficiency of our forecasting processes.
Role Purpose:
The Group FP&A Analyst will be responsible for overseeing all corporate projections, including reviewing and suggesting changes to forecasts and budgets created by Business Units. This role involves working with Business Units to enhance their forecasting processes, improving accuracy and reducing the time taken to produce forecasts, and modelling forecast scenarios. The successful candidate will consolidate actual, forecast, and budget financial statements for the Group and prepare presentation materials. We are looking for someone with a robust analytical approach, tactical awareness, excellent interpersonal skills, and advanced IT skills.

Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and comprehend business issues; propose and carry out solutions.
* Collaborate with the Executive Team to model financial forecasts aligned with the company’s medium and long-term financial and strategic plans.
* Evaluate and recommend modifications to projections and budgets generated by Business Units.
* Oversee and manage all aspects of fundamental financial planning and analysis, including planning, spending, predicting, report generation, and other tasks.
* Work with Business Units to forecast income and expenses for the next few years.
* Model long-term growth and determine the business elements that influence it.
* Interpret instructions from the CEO, COO, and CFO, ensuring Business Units follow them effectively.
* Improve processes at Business Units to create forecasts and analyse actual performance.
* Act as the administrator of the Group financial reporting and consolidation system OneStream, including preparing forecast scenarios and maintaining the chart of accounts.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Internationally recognised professional qualification in accounting (CIMA/ACA/ACCA/QBE).
* Relevant experience across the key functions of this role.
* Strong analytical toolkit, utilising business intelligence and reporting software.
* Capability to multitask and adapt to a constantly changing, fast-paced environment.
* Outstanding communication skills and relationship-building abilities.
* Capability to lead projects throughout an organisation.
* Advanced computer skills, including the ability to write macros in Excel and other financial packages.
* Self-motivated and resilient, able to work in complex and ambiguous circumstances.
