Due to increased volumes of transactions in our clients Leasehold Enfranchisement Team, they are looking to recruit experienced conveyancers to assist the Partner and to handle their own caseload in a supportive busy team.
The Role
* Acting for landlords and tenants in transactions involving freehold sales and purchases involving s5 notices;
* Acting for landlords and tenants in negotiated lease extensions;
* Acting for landlords and tenants in statutory lease extensions;
* Acting for landlords and tenants in variations of leases including clause variations and Licence for Alterations;
* Acting for landlords in acceptance of assignments including drafting LPE1 replies, deeds of covenants and Licences to Assign;
* Acting for landlords and tenants in enfranchisement claims;
* Making applications to the FTT and advising on procedure;
* Advising on SDLT including higher rates, reliefs and exemptions;
* Developing relationships with surveyors, agents and other property professionals.
The Person
* A client-focused experienced lawyer who is willing to be involved in a busy department with a varied caseload;
* Qualification as a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or CILEX welcome but not essential depending on experience;
* Full-time preferred;
* Must enjoy direct contact with clients and agents;
* Must be able to work independently without reliance on case management;
