Data Architect

An experienced Data Architect is required to join a global consultancy providing top quality Data solutions into the Government sector.

In this exciting Data Architect role, you will develop and maintain the organisations data architecture, ensuring that it supports current and future business needs. This includes defining data models, data flows, and data standards. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who comes from an extensive Data Engineering & AWS background looking to step into the world of government sector. You will get to join a supportive, collaborative team where you will have the trust and autonomy to deliver and realise benefits for the business.

This is a hybrid role where you can expect to be in London once a week, you will also be required to go through BPSS clearance.

Day-to-day you will be responsible for:

* Data Architecture Design, Integration & Management.
* Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity and security.
* Collaborate with IT security teams to implement data security controls, encryption mechanisms, and access controls to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access.
* Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data analytics and reporting requirements.
* Evaluate new data technologies and tools to determine their suitability for the organisations needs.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Software Developers, Data Engineers, Business Analysts, and Project Managers, to deliver end-to-end data architecture solutions. 


To be considered you will bring broad experience in a Data Architecture role. You will have demonstratable experience in implementing AWS and Big Data Solutions.

Other experience required:

* In-depth knowledge of data management principles, practices, and technologies.
* Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL), and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
* Strong understanding of data integration techniques and technologies (ETL, ELT, data visualisation).
* Familiarity with data governance frameworks and data security best practices.
* Experience working in the government sector is highly desirable.

In return, you can expect a salary of up to £95,000 plus excellent benefits.
