Project Manager * Contract Duration: Until end of March 2025
* Salary: £500-550 inside IR35 (depending on experience)
* Location: Farringdon, London (Hybrid working model, 2 days in the office)
* Start date: ASAP
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team, working on key functions within the Operations team of a prestigious and historic postal service provider. This role involves end-to-end accountability for the management of one or more technology-related projects, varying in scale and complexity.
Day-to-day of the role: * Delivering change projects successfully and within the set timelines.
* Leading and inspiring teams through matrix management, fostering a common vision.
* Communicating effectively with a broad audience, ensuring clarity and understanding.
* Demonstrating resilience and drive to maintain progress and resolve issues.
* Delegating and negotiating tasks and responsibilities effectively.
* Remaining calm and maintaining perspective in challenging situations.
* Managing stakeholders and team members with strong commercial acumen.
* Overseeing financial management aspects of the project.
* Providing technical knowledge and support to the project team.
* Encouraging innovative and creative thinking to solve problems.
* Setting clear, unambiguous targets and holding individuals, teams, and suppliers accountable.
Required Skills & Qualifications: * Proven experience in delivering change projects.
* Inspirational leadership with matrix management capability.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong stakeholder and people management skills.
* Commercial acumen and value-driven supplier management.
* Financial management experience.
* Good technical knowledge, preferably with experience in issue resolution.
* Knowledge of both traditional and modern software/IT development lifecycles (Agile, Iterative, and Waterfall).
Desirable: * Continuous Improvement knowledge and experience.
* Familiarity with best practices in Product Management, Architecture/Design, Testing, and DevOps.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Jira, HP Application Lifecycle Management, and MS Office tools.
* Experience managing single to multiple external suppliers.
