CAREERS ADMINISTRATOR AND RECEPTIONIST
This is an exciting opportunity for a Career Administrator and Receptionist to join a globally recognised London university on a part-time temporary basis!
  
Based at the Careers Reception, you will be responsible for assisting with the organisation of a high-quality, professional administrative service to the Careers team and act as first point of contact to our students and alumni. You will carry out basic but service critical administrative tasks to ensure the efficient running of the department both in the physical space as well as supporting colleagues working remotely.
  
CAREERS ADMINISTRATOR AND RECEPTIONIST ROLE:
* Booking appointments via telephone, email and in person, from admitted student stage through to alumni
* Arranging small group exercises, determined by student timetable and consultant availability
* Signposting students to appropriate resources
* Monitoring attendance and compliance with Careers no-show policy for 1:1s, small group sessions and workshops
* Scheduling on-campus careers appointments and updating Symplicity
* Managing last-minute cancellations and supporting urgent appointments
* Collaborating with the Careers Consultant Coordinator, as well as Programme and Sector Leads, to adding sessions to Symplicity, setting up the kiosk and allocating students to specific sessions when appropriate
* Ordering and organising gifts for speakers and alumni
* Being responsible for greeting all staff, students and visitors at the reception desk
* Coordinating careers boardroom bookings (college-wide)
* Ordering all office supplies
* Managing diaries and making appointments for the Executive Director of Careers and other staff members as appropriate
CAREERS ADMINISTRATOR AND RECEPTIONIST ESSENTIALS:
* Part time – 18 hours per week
* Based fully in office
* Experience working in an administrative role
