Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SENCO to join our client school in Haringey. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring all pupils with additional needs achieve accelerated progress and reach their full potential.
Main Areas of Responsibility:
* Lead and deliver high-quality intervention support tailored to the specific needs of pupils with SEND, fostering accelerated progress in their learning.
* Champion high expectations and promote the academy’s vision, values, and aims.
* Collaborate as a key member of the School Leadership Team (SLT), contributing to the strategic development aligned with the Academy Improvement Plan.
* Provide leadership in meeting the needs of children with SEND and oversee school self-evaluation in this area.
* Guide and support support staff to maintain excellent provision for pupils with SEND.
* Analyse assessment data to inform whole school planning and resource allocation.
* Undertake delegated professional duties as assigned by the SLT.
Qualifications & Experience:
* The successful candidate will possess:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* National Award for SEN Coordination qualification (NASENCO).
* Evidence of ongoing professional development, including courses, INSET, action research, and personal study, with demonstrable impact indicators.
