Job Description:
Accelerate Teaching is excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced Teacher of PE at a vibrant Secondary School in Leeds, starting in September 2024. We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and inspiring individual to join our team and contribute to the physical and personal development of our students.
About the Role:
As a Teacher of PE, you will play a crucial role in promoting physical fitness, well-being, and a lifelong love of sport among our students. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality PE lessons that engage and motivate pupils of all abilities, ensuring they reach their full potential both inside and outside the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging PE lessons in line with the national curriculum.
* Create a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages all students to participate and excel in physical activities.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their best.
* Organise and lead extra-curricular sports clubs, teams, and competitions.
* Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a collaborative and nurturing school community.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during PE lessons and activities.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Holds a relevant degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Has proven experience teaching PE at the secondary school level.
* Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and a passion for promoting physical health and well-being.
* Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Is committed to creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.
* Is enthusiastic about contributing to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities.
