Software Engineer, Python (Cloud) * Job Type: Full-Time, Hybrid

We are looking for an accomplished Software Engineer to join our clients Cambridge-based software team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and delivering the cloud infrastructure and application services for their cutting-edge computing platform. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with world-leading researchers and contribute to the advancement of computing technology.
Day to day of the role: * Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure and application services for the quantum computing platform.
* Collaborate with research and software teams to enhance platform usability and reliability.
* Engage in software engineering using Python, Rust, or Modern C++ and deploy software to cloud-based platforms like AWS or Azure.
* Lead engineering discussions and make technical decisions within the team.
* Translate user needs from concept to implementation, simplifying the use of quantum computing resources.
Required Skills & Qualifications: * 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
* Proficiency in Python and experience with Postgresql or similar database technologies.
* Familiarity with Terraform or other “Infrastructure as Code” tools.
* Experience deploying software to managed cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, etc.
* A 2:1 degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Science, or Engineering.
* Desirable: Experience with Kubernetes, knowledge of distributed system architectures, and experience developing in Typescript.
