Job Description:
Dunbar Education is proud to be recruiting for a highly-regarded school in Birmingham, known for its commitment to providing a supportive and enriching educational environment. Our client school has been rated ’Good’ by Ofsted and is dedicated to fostering the growth and development of all its pupils.
Key Responsibilities: *Provide individualised or small group support to pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), specifically those with autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
*Assist in the creation and implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs).
*Help pupils access the curriculum and engage in school activities.
*Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
*Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
*Collaborate with the SENCO and other staff members to ensure the needs of each pupil are met.
*Contribute to the overall ethos and values of the school.
Essential Requirements: *Previous experience working with children with autism and ADHD is preffered.
*Knowledge of SEND and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse needs.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children with special needs.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications: *Relevant qualifications in education or child development.
*Experience working in a school setting.
