Job Description:
Gleeson Recruitment Group are working in partnership with an international manufacturing business who are looking to appoint a Finance Manager in a newly-created role. This business has a rich history in the UK and due to their sustained success have an international presence.
This role is pivotal in overseeing financial operations, driving strategic financial planning, and ensuring regulatory compliance for our client’s manufacturing operations.
Key responsibilities of the Finance Manager role:
* Manage the financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
* Develop and monitor key performance indicators to support operational goals and drive profitability.
* Prepare financial statements, reports, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
* Oversee cash flow management, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll functions.
* Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards.
* Implement and maintain robust internal controls and procedures.
* Collaborate with other departments to support decision-making and optimise financial performance.
* Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
Requirements of the Finance Manager role:
* A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) is required
* Proven experience as a Finance Manager, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
* Strong knowledge of financial management and accounting principles.
* Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in financial software.
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Leadership qualities with a strategic mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
