Absolute is delighted to have partnered with an international luxury retail business who are recruiting an Accountant for their US entity. This entrepreneurial business has seen continuous year-on-year growth and is now looking to expand its team with an ambitious and dynamic Accountant with experience in US GAAP and US Tax.
  
The company has a great culture, offers hybrid working and this role has the option of being based in the office in London or New York
 
Key Responsibilities:
This role will be the lead Accountant for the US entity and will oversee the day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US regulations.
* Preparing management accounts for the US entity
* Managing the General Ledger, Inventory Accounting, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
* Ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reported in the ERP system
* Facilitating supplier and overhead payments
* Preparing monthly financial statements, including necessary adjustments and reconciliations
* Preparing year-end financial statements and liaising with external auditors
* Oversee monthly payroll for entity in compliance with US regulations
* Coordinating cash flow management
* Handling monthly sales tax returns and ensuring compliance with statutory laws and financial regulations
* Support with FP&A including budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
* Developing business processes and accounting policies to maintain internal controls
* Assisting CFO with US entity specific queries
Required Skills & Experience:
* Qualified Accountant / Finalist (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)
* Must have good knowledge of US taxation and US GAAP
* US Payroll experience would be beneficial
* Practical understanding of management accounting principles
* Proficiency in financial systems and accounting packages, preferably ERP Business Central
* Strong skills in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
