Personal Assistant to Director
Local Government
Start: ASAP
Rate: £24.12 per hour Umbrella Inside IR35
Duration: Until April 2025, with potential extensions available
Location: West Midlands
Working pattern: Hybrid – 3 days onsite
Are you a proactive and dynamic professional ready to take on the challenge of supporting a high-energy, fast-paced executive? Our client is seeking a highly organised and resourceful Personal Assistant to the Director who can handle large, intense workloads with speed and efficiency.
In this role, you will be the Director’s right hand, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations by managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling critical tasks swiftly. The ideal candidate will excel in a high-pressure environment, think on their feet, and adapt to changing circumstances with minimal guidance.
Responsibilities:
* Complex diary management
* Robust email management to ensure timely responses to internal and external stakeholders
* Forward planning to ensure the Director is appropriately briefed and prepared for meetings, including drafting and collating briefing notes and presentations
* Management of meetings, including preparing agendas, completing minutes and monitoring actions to ensure they are completed in a timely manner
* Being a confident decision maker who can maximise the time and attention of Senior Leaders by gate keeping correspondence, both internally and externally
Requirements:
* Wide range of experience of all aspects of personal assistant responsibilities
* Adaptable and self-motivated and have experience of building effective working relationships with senior stakeholders
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with close attention to detail
* Willingness to be flexible and good organisational skills are essential, as is experience of working within tight timescales and managing conflicting priorities
* Respecting and preserving confidentiality will be key as well as the ability to thrive in a demanding, stimulating, and fast-paced environment
