Faculty / Directorate
The Marketing and Communications Directorate offers full-service marketing and communications support to the university, comprising brand and creative development; design and print services; corporate and student recruitment marketing campaigns; CRM and conversion campaigns; faculty business partnering; reputation management; media relations; public affairs; internal and external communications engagement; events; schools and colleges engagement; Widening Participation; admissions; enquiry management and follow up; web and digital development.
Role
The Content Assistant (Social) plays an important role in the creation and production of content to support DMU’s communication plans across a broad range of university audiences. You will be working on high-quality content for social media and a range of channels, supporting the Content Officer (Social) in scheduling content for DMU’s social media channels and tracking performance. You will have a social first focus on engaging with our students and DMU community, helping to drive forward our brand awareness and student recruitment efforts.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be experience in developing and delivering engaging content across a range of platforms. You will have strong social media skills and the ability to engage a wide variety of audiences. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling, you will ensure that our content reflect DMU’s values and enhance our reputation.
You will be excited about the ability social media has to reach new audience and support recruitment and marketing initiatives. You keep up to date with social media platform developments and understand how to adapt tactics based on performance analytics and evolving trends.
