Location: Dunfermline, Scotland
Salary: £27,000 - £29,000 per annum
Start date: ASAP, 1st interviews taking place w/c 15th of July.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join this busy finance team in the Dunfermline office. Initially, you’ll support our Supplier Payments section, with prospects for developing into a broader range of finance activities. You will learn from a highly experienced team of qualified finance professionals and benefit from company financial sponsorship toward recognized finance qualifications such as AAT or ACCA if you wish to take this up.
Key Responsibilities:
* Handle a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently.
* Accurately code invoices and send them for internal authorization.
* Reconcile Purchase Ledger accounts and supplier statements.
* Communicate with suppliers regarding account/payment issues.
* Work with internal departments on receipt/approval of all invoices or credit notes.
* Ensure all accounts data input is completed on time to meet accounting cycle deadlines.
* Address any internal queries related to the purchase ledger.
* File and archive documents for easy retrieval.
* Perform regular bank reconciliations.
* Support the wider Finance team with additional tasks as needed.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* 2+ years of experience in a finance environment.
* Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to work well both within a team and on your own initiative.
* Proficiency in verbal and written communication.
* Strong IT skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* HNC/HND level qualifications.
* A driven individual looking to progress in their career.
This role is office based 5 days a week, so the successful candidate must be able to commute to the premises in Dunfermline. Salary circa £27,000-£29,000 depending on experience.
