About the role

We have an opportunity to work for a team of respected Subject Matter Experts as a Senior Prudential Risk Analyst within the Risk function.

This role is a trusted advisor and critical friend to the 1st line of defence. Their purpose is to enable the business to make effective risk-based decisions, considering the prudential regulatory framework and underpinned by robust controls and governance.

This is a lead role in performing 2nd line oversight and assessment of liquidity, market, and capital risks for the Society, presenting results to Senior Management and/or Executives as when appropriate.

It would suit someone who naturally builds and maintains working relationships with key stakeholders, who is seen as a trusted advisor to promote best in class approaches to the management of the Society’s financial and prudential risks.

About you

You’ll have significant prior exposure to dealing with capital, liquidity, market, and treasury credit risk related issues in a Financial Services, regulator, or professional services firm. 
A strong knowledge of balance sheet management activities is vital to make effective decisions.
It’s important you also have prior experience of writing, reviewing, or advising upon ICAAPs or ILAAPs with a strong grasp of stress testing, liquidity/funding, and capital planning. Prior experience of Recovery and Resolution planning, and exposure to Internal Ratings Based (IRB) models would be beneficial.
You’ll have an educational history most likely via a numerate discipline (e.g., Economics, Finance, Mathematics), or demonstrable equivalent skills through experience.
