Job Description:
Our client is a specialist contractor with expertise in delivering electrical installation & data projects to various sectors. They have over 35 years of combined industry experience and are a recognised leader in this space.
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Data Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of data infrastructure in commercial buildings. This includes AV systems, Wi-Fi networks, telecommunications equipment and more. The Data Engineer will work closely with project managers and clients to ensure all installations meet technical specifications and quality standards.

Data Engineer - Installations
Key Responsibilities:
* Install and configure data infrastructure in commercial buildings according to project specifications.
* Run and terminate structured cabling for data, voice, and video networks, ensuring all connections are secure and meet industry standards.
* Perform testing and troubleshooting of installed systems to ensure functionality and reliability.
* Conduct regular maintenance and updates on installed systems to ensure optimal performance.
* Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, and maintenance activities. Provide detailed reports to project managers and clients as required.
* Work closely with project managers, clients, and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
* Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Data Engineer - Installations
Requirements:
* Technical certifications in data infrastructure installations is preferred.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in the installation and maintenance of data infrastructure in commercial buildings.
* Knowledge of structured cabling and network testing tools.
* Ability to lift heavy equipment, work at heights, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity.
* Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with clients and team
* Willingness travel and comfortable with overnight stays
