Full time or Part time (minimum of 25 hrs/wk across 4 days), permanent
Split place of work between Horizons (Reading, Berkshire) and Home
Salary range £26,000 - £31,500 FTE pa plus benefits

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our fast-paced and ever-growing Research team here at UCEM. As the Research Administrator, you will assist with pricing bids, processing contracts and reports for awards, as well as managing research grants. UCEM will soon be offering Post Graduate Research (PGR) provision, and all aspects of this support from initial application to graduation will be looked after by the Research Office. By joining this team, you will have a diverse and varied workload as well as the opportunity to be part of a growing area for UCEM.
Your accountabilities and responsibilities include:
* Assist the Research Operations Lead and work with the Associate Dean (Research) in the planning, preparation and administering of Pre and Post Award administration.
* Minute and provide full secretarial support for relevant research meetings such as Research Committee, Ethics Panel and research project meetings.
* Maintain records for current PGR students including in the main database (SITS) and in Research Office records.
* Assist the Research Operations Lead in developing administrative processes for the Research Office to ensure this role will be able to support such processes.
Our main requirements:
* Further education level qualifications or a proven track record in a similar role.
* Administration experience in a busy office environment, which involves planning, prioritising and meeting deadlines.
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to plan ahead to achieve agreed deadlines.
* Positive, engaging attitude and demeanour.
