Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and detail-oriented Management Accountant in Milton Keynes. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accounting services for both Business Unit and Operating Entity reporting purposes, as well as providing analysis to assist with business planning processes. This role offers a competitive salary of £48K-£53K and the chance to work within a dynamic and supportive team environment. The position is currently based in Bedford, but will be moving to Milton Keynes at the end of this year, offering flexibility with three days a week in the office.
What you’ll do:
* Deliver accounting services for both Business Unit and Operating Entity reporting purposes
* Ensure alignment with Group policy to achieve targets and meet reporting deadlines
* Produce monthly management accounting and reporting information to a strict timetable for business units within the Group
* Prepare month-end journals, including intercompany and recurring charges
* Assist with the production of information and data for VAT and tax returns, including those for any overseas companies and branches
* Continually develop reporting solutions
* Respond appropriately and accurately to urgent issues as they arise
* Create new processes and procedures documents relevant to job role
What you bring:

* Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
* MS Office Literacy (advanced Excel - nested vlookups, data manipulation, pivot tables etc)
* Previous experience of operating as an Accountant is critical
* Understanding of payroll and previous experience/exposure to payroll reports and postings desirable but not essential
* Technical knowledge of financial reporting under UK accounting standards
