The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Claims Adjuster - Marine Liability in London. Our Claims department aims to provide efficient, cost-effective, and professional service to brokers and clients. We strive to be proactive and flexible in managing claims while maintaining our integrity. The Marine Liability team handles a broad range of claims from the Marine Liability and Transport and Logistics Underwriting Division.
Responsibilities:
* Drive a customer-focused claims philosophy.
* Manage claims in line with our philosophy and regulatory requirements.
* Provide feedback and ensure compliance on metrics.
* Facilitate a customer-focused approach through prompt and honest communication.
* Work closely with underwriting, actuarial, and reinsurance teams.
* Participate in client meetings and conferences.
* Achieve metrics set in the Claims Business Plan and identify improvement areas.
* Lead and manage complex and high-value claims.
* Assist in training junior team members.
Skills and Requirements:
* Background in Marine Liability.
* ACII accreditation or working towards it.
* Strong analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to lead and develop strategy on complex claims.
* Excellent relationship-building skills with underwriters, brokers, and legal providers.
